Another year has sped by with so many developments in the world and at the Centre.
It was our first year of having lambs…and oh how much joy they did bring! Bottle feeding was a challenge and a joy for both the young among us and the old. Whether you were 2yrs old or 87 you just couldn’t ignore the call to duty! Apple Day, brought great laughs as Beth’s run to the finish with the ”treats for the winner” gave her the most exercise in the sheeple-chase! Laura made the lambs fabulous racing silks and Laura Pugh, who was the only one not betting, actually took some highlight shots. Special thanks to them both!
Then, having learned to jump, the lambs continued to do so and the fence rose ever higher… even as the rose bushes, azaleas and bay trees diminished! Linda spent weeks in Wellies…(not her usual fashion statement!) The girls are now with the tup in Withington and Easter should bring them home with babes to their sides!
Speaking of Apple Day..what a day it was, with plenty of games, stalls and food, with Welly Wanging and Milk the Cow claiming the most participants. The tents were busy again this year, enhanced by the new gate which allowed a wonderful flow from the back to the front fields. Many thanks to those special people who gave so much of their time to make it a wonderful day for us all; Phillipa & Ella, Catherine, Cheryl, Catherine & Ann, Linda & Jack, Alex, Michelle, Debra Heather & Mike, Laura & Jerry, Leanne, Roy & Sue, Jane, Jon, Sarah & Millie, Chris & Janeen, Ariella, Ethan & Ellie, Abi & Mark, many of Tricia’s immediate family, and all of you who generously came and participated to help raise £1200 towards the meditation gardens in which the fountain will sit! You can imagine the scale of the event just on the ‘thank you’ list alone, and I promise you…we were flat out! Next year we would love to get even more of you participating..please?!
It also was a year of development for the Centre with more highly qualified therapists joining our exceptional team. Those of you who haven’t scrolled through the web site lately, have a look at the new therapies on offer… it’s getting better and brighter every day! The Times featured our new program “Spa for the Spirit” both in their paper and on their timesonline good spa guide and Kindred Spirit has approached us about doing an article on Block Clearance in the spring.
There may be many of you who are asking, “What’s happened to the Christmas Party?” This year for an incredibly special reason we will not be holding a celebration in the barn. Do you remember how important we believe Star Wishing to be? People often say to me that wishing for things doesn’t work. I can tell you that last year Beth’s Star Wish was to have a baby before next Christmas and I can also tell you that Beth’s wish will be delivered (by me) around the 20th of December! I reminded her that when you wish for something you need to be very specific and perhaps next time she should be clearer about checking the diary for Centre events! So, this Christmas, although we will miss celebrating with you, you can imagine that we are all very excited and eagerly await the little one’s arrival.
Manifesting dreams and wishes into your reality is your possibility. This Christmas, although the party is postponed, we will have a tree and we invite you to stop in (whether or not you have an appointment) and place your Star Wish upon it. With all of you to be grateful for, with a new little one in our lives, with the kindness, positivity and generosity of so many of you to cherish, you will understand that nothing could stop me from doing a dedication, a prayer of thanksgiving, and sending up all our wishes into the universe before the New Year breaks.
We hope to see many of you on our courses, when there always is more time to chat. Until then, from Beth, Linda, Janeen, Mel and myself…
Merry Christmas and have a very happy,
healthy and prosperous New Year!
Love Tricia |
